Arborist Classes to Begin Jan. 9

Penn State Extension is conducting a short course designed to assist individuals who want to become certified by the International Society of Arboriculture, or others just interested in proper tree care.

Classes will be held 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Thursdays, Jan. 9, 16, 23 and 30, at the York County Extension Office, 112 Pleasant Acres Road, York, Pa.

Tim Abbey, York County commercial horticulture educator, and other speakers will discuss tree biology and species identification, pruning, insect and disease pests, and tree worker safety.
