Back Yard Fruit Growers to Host Winter Workshops

LANCASTER, Pa. — Landis Valley Museum and the Back Yard Fruit Growers are offering their Winter Workshops on Saturday, Feb. 25. Doors open at 9:30 a.m. Registration is in the Museum Firehouse at 2451 Kissel Hill Road, Lancaster, 17601.

There are seven 2-hour workshops, from 10 a.m.-noon and 1-3 p.m. Participants in the 10 a.m. session can pick such topics as apple pruning, propagating plants, training espaliers and honeybees at home. Topics the afternoon session offers include backyard laying hens, figs in Pennsylvania and seed saving.
