On Thursday, Jan 16, representatives from JBS Souderton will join the Pennsylvania Center for Beef Excellence to lead a tour of JBS’ packing plant, the largest beef slaughter facility east of Chicago.

The meeting is intended to increase producers’ knowledge of the market opportunities that JBS offers to them and to showcase the improvements made at the Souderton facility.

JBS employs more than 1,200 at the site to process about 2,150 head of cattle per day. About 1.3 million pounds of boxed beef is shipped from this plant each week, primarily across the Northeast.
