NAPERVILLE, Ill. — GEA Farm Technologies Inc. (Houle USA) has announced that Cedar Crest Equipment, 61 Elco Drive, Myerstown, Pa., has purchased Mid Atlantic Agri Systems of Quarryville, Pa., a neighboring GEA Houle dealership.

After six months of negotiations, the acquisition finalized Nov. 5. Cedar Crest Equipment owners Leon Zimmerman and Anthony Good view the acquisition as an excellent opportunity for growth in sales as well as improved customer service, enabling Cedar Crest to strengthen its position in the agricultural marketplace.

In addition to its outlet store in Myerstown, Cedar Crest Equipment will also maintain an outlet in Quarryville, the same location previously occupied by Mid Atlantic Agri Systems.

Several former employees of Mid Atlantic have also been retained.

Cedar Crest Equipment also has plans of expanding the GEA Houle outlets in Chambersburg, Mifflinburg and Roaring Springs. The Houle manure equipment product line is part of the GEA Farm Technologies organization, a worldwide leader in milking, manure and livestock housing equipment.
