Penn State Extension and the Master Well Owner Network will hold a pair of Safe Drinking Water Clinics 1-3 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 14, at the York County 4-H Center.

Participants must pick up a time-sensitive water testing kit from the Penn State Extension Office in York, collect a sample from their home on Tuesday, Oct 22, and return it to the Extension office that day, between 8 and 10 a.m.

The water sample will be analyzed for coliform bacteria, E. coli bacteria, pH, dissolved solids, arsenic and nitrate-nitrogen. Laboratory results will be distributed at the workshop and Penn State Extension water resource specialists will be available to discuss individual results.

Registration deadline is Oct. 21. Cost is $72, which includes testing of one water sample and attendance at the clinic for up to two household members.

To register, visit http://agsci.psu.edu/drinking-water or call 717-394-6851.
