Former Poultry Farmer Now National Penn Ag Loan Officer

BOYERTOWN, Pa. — National Penn Bancshares Inc. has named Kent Weaver an agriculture loan officer for the bank’s Lancaster region. He will report to Dale Hershey, senior vice president for National Penn’s Lancaster agriculture lending department.

Weaver will be a part of National Penn’s eight-person agriculture lending team. He will be responsible for developing new business and managing his own agriculture portfolio.

Prior to National Penn, he worked for Susquehanna Bank as an agriculture financial analyst. Weaver, who lives in Strasburg, Pa., has several years experience in the agriculture business from growing up on a dairy and poultry farm. He was a poultry farmer for six years before entering the banking industry.
