CLARION, Pa. — The 16th annual Northwest Pennsylvania Grazing Conference will be held Tuesday, March 12, at the Zion Church located 2.9 miles south of Interstate 80, exit 62, near Clarion.
The keynote speaker will be Garry Lacefield, forage specialist from the University of Kentucky, who has written or contributed to more than 300 Extension publications, papers, articles and book chapters, and is past president of the American Forage and Grassland Council.
USDA-NRCS grazing specialists Sid Brantley from Kentucky and Tom Calvert from Somerset County, Pa., will discuss multispecies grazing opportunities. Brian Moyer, PSU Extension, will talk about finding and keeping customers. And veterinarian William Wise will talk about keeping horses healthy on pastures.
