BEDFORD, Pa. — The Pennsylvania Beef Council has announced that Jennifer Harrold has joined the organization as programs manager.
Harrold will also serve as director of public relations for the Northeast Beef Promotion Initiative (NEPBI).
In this dual position, she will spend some time supporting promotional and industry events in the commonwealth, but most of her time will be spent implementing beef checkoff programs along the I-95 corridor.
The NEBPI is funded by checkoff dollars from the Cattlemen’s Beef Board and is based in the beef council office in Bedford.
“We are thrilled to welcome Jennifer to the Beef Council team,” said Bridget Bingham, beef council executive director. “Her enthusiasm, coupled with an agricultural background, is certain to help her effectively market beef to consumers.”
In May, Harrold graduated from Penn State University with a degree in animal science, minor in agribusiness. She grew up in Latrobe, Westmoreland County, and now lives in Belle Vernon with her fiancé, Jeff, on his family’s dairy farm.
