Keep Farming First Set for June 19

Chester County 2020’s Keep Farming First 2014 gathering will be 6-9 p.m. Thursday, June 19, at Octorara Middle School, 226 Highland Road, Atglen, Pa.

The featured speaker will be Steven Finn, who will talk about “Valuing Our Food: Minimizing Waste and Maximizing Resources.”

There will also be a discussion titled “Managing Stormwater — Act 167 De-Mystified,” led by Jan Bowers of the Chester County Water Resources Authority and Ron Furlen of the Pennsylvania Deparatment of Environmental Protection, along with breakout sessions on Pennsylvania AgConnect, the Chester County Food Bank and agricultural education.
