The Northeastern Pennsylvania Maple Syrup Producer’s Association Annual Meeting and Dinner is scheduled for 9 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 26, at Bethany Methodist Church Hall, Route 670, Bethany, Pa.
Bob Molinaro, a food inspector for the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture who is based in Tunkhannock, will explain the current regulations and guidelines affecting area maple syrup producers.
There will also be a demonstration, by Kristin Curtis of Journey’s End Farm about making maple cream and a lunch of pancakes, maple syrup, eggs, sausage, home fries and ice cream. Cost of the meal is $9. Reservations are required by Jan. 22 and can be called-in to the Wayne County Cooperative Extension Office at 570-253-5970, ext. 4110, or emailed to WayneExt<\@>PSU.EDU. The dinner reservation deadline is Tuesday, January 22, 2013.
