In recognition of the 40th Anniversary of National Agriculture Day on March 19, the Agriculture Council of America has announced a full two-day lineup of events in the nation’s capital.
On March 18, 3:30-5 p.m. in Room 902 of the Hart Senate Office Building there will be a panel discussion called Farm to Fork Politics.
On March 19, the lineup will start at 9:30-11 a.m. with U.S. Farmers & Ranchers Alliance Food Dialogues: The Next Generation of Food & Farming in a venue yet to be announced.
A luncheon emceed by broadcaster Orion Samuelson and featuring Outstanding Young Farmer honorees and members of Congress will be 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. in the Cannon Caucus Room.
A Celebration of Ag Dinner will begin at 5 p.m. featuring Secretary of Agriculture Tom Vilsack and Teresa Scanlan, Miss America 2011 at the USDA Whitten Patio.
