UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Because of the disruption from Hurricane Sandy, Penn State’s Extension Dairy Team has rescheduled the Blair County Tools for Teams workshop to Dec. 18.

Additional registrations are now being accepted for this hands-on workshop, which offers dairy advisory team members insight into using whole farm and management tools more effectively to ensure optimum use of farm resources.

The session will be held 10 a.m.-3 p.m. at the Altoona Ramada, 1 Sheraton Drive, Altoona, Pa.

Other workshops are being offered March 20 at Ag Heritage Center, 185 Franklin Farm Lane, Chambersburg, Pa.; March 27 at Cornell Extension Madison County Ag Center, 100 Eaton St., Morrisville, N.Y.; and April 18 at Randolph Small Business Center, 1540 Vermont Route 66, Randolph, Vt.

Cost is $35 . Scholarships are available for those willing to share data with instructors. Participants may bring a second person from their business at no additional charge. Pre-registration is necessary to ensure an adequate amount of workshop materials is available by calling 888-373-7232.
