HARRISBURG, Pa. — Within the coming months, feed and ingredient manufacturers will be required to overhaul operating procedures to ensure a safe animal feed supply under Food Safety Modernization Act.

The PennAg Feed, Grain and Allied Industry Council, along with sponsors Elanco and Kirby Agri, will hold a training course June 17-19 to help industry members learn the concepts of Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point, which will help each company meet the requirements contained in the new regulations.

The training will be held at the Acorn Farms Reception & Conference Center, 3141 Mount Joy-Manheim Road, Mount Joy, Pa.

Upon completion of the course, attendees will receive a certificate of completion and will be added to the International HACCP Alliance training database.

The cost is $250 for PennAg members and $300 for nonmembers, and includes all training materials, morning refreshments and lunch on Tuesday and Wednesday.
