Riparian Buffer Walk Set for Aug. 13

CARLISLE, Pa. — A buffer walk for landowners and landscape contractors will be held 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 13, in Waynesboro, Pa., at a buffer maintained by the Washington Township supervisors.

Sponsored by Capital Resource Conservation & Development Area Council, the field walk will give participants a chance to study a professionally maintained riparian buffer enrolled in the Conservation Reserve Enhancement Program and to learn about the steps necessary to keep a buffer in top condition.
