Tree Climbing School Set for Early October

LEESPORT, Pa. — Penn State Cooperative Extension in Chester County and the International Society of Arboriculture Penn-Del Chapter will hold a tree climbing school Oct. 3-7 at the Berks County Ag Center 4-H building, 1238 County Welfare Road, Leesport.

This school will teach the fundamentals of tree maintenance, with major emphasis on the skills required to climb and prune trees, including safe climbing practices, use of hand tools, plant health care, tree terminology, culture and pruning tree removal, and knots.

Cost is $480 and pre-registration is required by Sept. 23. Attendees must have the required tree equipment. To register, contact CVENT at www.cvent.com/d/2cq7d4 or 877-489-1398.

The course is taught in English, but Spanish study guides are available at no extra cost.
