Workshops for Hispanics to Teach Best Milking Practices

Penn State Extension has scheduled a series of workshops titled Best Milking Practices for Hispanics.

Taught in Spanish, this program is designed to educate Spanish-speaking farm managers and milkers about the proper milking techniques and practices necessary to produce a high-quality product.

This program provides hands-on training to reinforce best milking practices, including proper stimulation, teat-end health and essentials of milk let-down.

Workshops will be held 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.:

Nov. 6, Scattered Acres, 900 Galen Hall Road, Reinholds, Pa.

Nov. 8, Penn State Extension Office, 181 Franklin Farm Lane, Chambersburg, Pa.

Nov. 19, The Park at Morrison’s Cove, 201 S. Walnut St., Martinsburg, Pa.

Nov. 21, Hoss’s Steak and Sea House, 1148 Leesburg-Grove City Road, Grove City, Pa.
