The Flinchbaugh family of Hallam, York County, has been named Outstanding Extension Supporters by the York County Extension Association and will be honored at the group’s annual banquet and business meeting on Wednesday, Oct. 30.

“We are very blessed to have had so much support over the years from the Flinchbaughs. It is very fitting that they be recognized for their contributions to the agricultural research and Extension programs conducted by Penn State here in York County,” says John Rowehl, Extension educator for agronomy.

Serving as hosts for many farm tours, cooperating with Penn State staff on field and orchard crop trials and volunteering to serve on the board of directors of the Extension association are just a few ways that different members of the family have helped contribute to the success of Penn State Extension programs.

To attend the banquet, contact the Extension office at YorkExtpsu.edu or 717-840-7408 . Tickets are $13 for adults, $6.50 for children 3-12 and free for children under 3.
