119.62. Heifers: Live Grade: 35-65 percent Choice 74.00-75.50, wt avg 75.04; 1-

under federal inspection on Monday was estimated at 131,000 head compared to
126,000 a week ago and 130,000 a year ago.
Slaughter cows at So. St. Paul terminal were steady to firm.

595 lbs 99.75. Yearlings: 525-600 lbs 97.50-103.50; 600-650 lbs 94.00-97.25;
650-700 lbs 92.75-96.00; 700-750 lbs 89.00-94.00; 750-800 lbs 87.00-89.25; 800-
825 lbs 86.25-87.00; 900-925 lbs 81.75-83.50. Heifers: New crop: 325-400 lbs
103.00-107.00; 425-475 lbs 96.00-100.50; 500-550 lbs 93.50-97.00. Yearlings:
600-625 lbs 89.00-90.00; 650-700 lbs 86.75-88.25; 700-750 lbs 86.50-87.25; lot

Barrows and gilts at terminal markets on Monday steady to .50 higher. At
terminals barrows and gilts 47-51 percent lean 220-270 lbs 50.00-53.50. The
direct trade prices are based on 185 lbs hog carcass with 0.9-1.1 inch backfat
and 6 inch square loin/2.0 inch depth plant delivered. National direct trade
closed uneven, steady to weak. Trade at 62.75-74.50 with average price of 69.81.
Iowa-S. Minnesota direct trade was steady to weak at 62.75-72.76 with an average
price of 69.68. The Western Cornbelt closed steady to weak at 62.75-72.76,
average price 69.93. The Eastern Cornbelt sold steady at 64.25-74.50, average
price 69.63. Hog slaughter under federal inspection on Monday was estimated at
355,000 head compared to 351,000 a week ago and 352,000 a year ago.
Slaughter lambs at terminal markets weak to 2.00 lower. At terminal markets:
New Crop: Choice, end Prime 2-3 110-130 lbs 83.00-85.00; Choice, end Prime 2-3
120-140 lbs Fall Shorn to No 1 to 2 pelts 81.00-83.00; few in Sioux Falls 128
lbs 75.00-76.25. Choice, end Prime wooled few in Sioux Falls 128 lbs 75.00-
76.25. Sheep and lamb slaughter under federal inspection on Monday was estimated
at 8,000 head compared to 8,000 a week ago and 7,000 a year ago.
