NEW YORK (AP) — Cotton futures No. 2 closed 55 cents a bale higher to $4.25 lower Thursday.

The average price for strict low middling 1 & 1-16 inch spot cotton declined 96 cents to 63.79 cents per pound Thursday for the seven markets, according to the Market News Branch, Memphis USDA.
