NEW YORK (AP) — Cotton futures No. 2 closed 15 cents a bale lower to $2.50 higher Wednesday.

The average price for strict low middling 1 & 1-16 inch spot cotton declined 2 cents to 61.61 cents per pound Wednesday for the seven markets, according to the Market News Branch, Memphis USDA.
