SHELL EGGS: Daily California Eggs
MAY 17, 2013
Prices are steady. Asking prices for next week are 8 cents higher for
Jumbo, 15 cents higher for Extra Large and Large and 11 cents higher for
Medium and Small. Trade sentiment is steady to higher. Offerings are light
and held with confidence as export activity into Mexico continues and helps
to clear any surplus domestic supplies. Retail demand is light to moderate.
Market activity is moderate. Small benchmark price $1.07.
CALIFORNIA:
Shell egg marketer's benchmark price for negotiated egg sales of
USDA Grade AA and Grade AA in cartons, cents per dozen. This
price does not reflect discounts or other contract terms.
