Feeder Cattle Auction Report Close for 11/19/2014
Receipts: 2278 Last Week: 2031 Year Ago: 1842
Compared to last week, feeder steers weighing 400-750 lbs sold firm to 5.00
higher, with spots 8.00 higher on the 450-500 lb steer calves. Feeder steers
over 750 lb sold with a firm undertone with several load lots selling with
moderate to fleshy conditions. Feeder heifers under 600 lbs sold 4.00-7.00
higher with 600-700 lb heifers trading 1.00-3.00 higher and over 700 lbs selling
with a firm to higher undertone on a light test. Wednesday's offering included
a nice offering of good quality steer and heifer calves with many weaned and
with shots selling with good demand. Steers weighing 700-750 lbs sold in a wide
price range with many big calves and carrying flesh with a couple part loads of
yearlings that were fancy and selling with good weighing conditions. Supply
included 65 percent steers, 35 percent heifers and near 45 percent feeders
weighing over 600 lbs.
