Compared to last week: No market trend available due to recent comparable
sales. No feeder heifers reported. Storms moving into the state brought the
earliest recorded measurable snowfall in Rapid City. Up to 8 inches of snow was
recorded by the National Weather Service in the Black Hills, and temperatures
dipped down into the 20?s throughout many parts of the state. Demand remains
very good on tight supplies. Large advancements were recorded on the, as it
closed up 6.00 from last Friday?s close. All sales FOB North and South Dakota
with a 2-3 percent shrink or equivalent and a 4-8 cent slide on yearlings and a
8-12 slide on calves from base weights.
