MANCHESTER, Conn. (AP) — A Connecticut pet food company is recalling three frozen varieties of its foods for dogs and cats because of possible salmonella contamination.

Manchester-based Bravo! on Wednesday issued the voluntary recall for varieties of its Chicken Balance, Chicken Blend and Beef Blend Burgers products that were made on specific days. Details about the recalled products can be found at: http://bit.ly/12i66vq.

The company says the recalled products tested negative for pathogens. But Bravo! says it's issuing the recall out of an "abundance of caution" because the foods were made the same day or on an adjacent day as a product that tested positive. The company says the contaminated food is "100 percent contained."

The company said it has no reports of related illnesses.

Salmonella can sicken animals who eat contaminated products or humans who handle them.
