Tri-Day Ashlyn has been selected as one of Pennsylvania Holstein Association’s “Famous Cows of Pennsylvania.”
For me, my first encounter with “Ashlyn” was at the 2001 All-American Dairy Show where she was crowned the supreme champion of the show. Then, she continued on to have an amazing year collecting two more champion titles. The first was at the 2001 World Dairy Expo supreme champion, the second was at the grand champion Holstein at the Royal Winter Fair. She was a cow that caused plenty of excitement at the show ring.

This famed cow was bred in Pennsylvania by Curtis and David Day, who now respectively reside in Minnesota and Missouri.
Ashlyn is an Encore daughter out of Bendy-Brook Odyssey Favorite and is scored excellent-96. Her other accomplishments include: Gold Medal Dam, Dam of Merit, All-American Senior 3-Year Old, and All-Time All American 4-Year Old.
Over the years, more than 52 different sires have produced 342 offspring out of Ashlyn. She has 28 excellent daughters, one at 96 points, two at excellent-95, and one excellent-95 Gibson son.

Her best lactation record was at 4 years, 9 months, 365days, 43,090 pounds o milk, 4.8 percent fat, 2,079 pounds of fat, 3.3 percent protein, 1,422 pounds of protein. Ashyn has a lifetime record of 144,000 pounds of milk, 6,665 pounds of fat and 4,861 pounds of protein.

Tri-Day Ashlyn-ET is currently owned by Siemers Holsteins in Wisconsin and producing embryos in an IVF program. Sherry Siemers calls Ashlyn a "living legend in the industry." After purchasing a dozen embryos from Ernie Kueffner for her daughter Crystal, Sherry was ecstatic when Ashlyn's offspring hit the ground.

She said that Ashlyn loves the extra attention that she gets at Siemer's Holsteins. Ashlyn doesn't act her age and has a unique personality. She loves her snacks of candy, donuts or fruit, she produces quality embryos and she gets up and down without any cramping.
