Farm conference set in Baton Rouge

BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) — Several LSU AgCenter experts will discuss their research projects for rice, corn, soybean and cotton farming at the National Conservation Systems Conference on Jan. 31 and Feb. 1.

The event is planned for the Crown Plaza Hotel in Baton Rouge.

Farmers will be able to talk with LSU AgCenter scientists and scientists from universities across the Midsouth, said LSU AgCenter Vice Chancellor John Russin.

Paul Coreil, LSU AgCenter vice chancellor for extension, said farmers also will be able to discuss with their colleagues practices to grow corn, soybeans, cotton and rice.
