Hartung, Hurley Show Franklin County 4-H Grand Champions

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. — The Franklin County 4-H Baby Beef Club held its annual Junior Market Steer Show and Open Heifer Show on July 8 at the Franklin County Fair.

John Spiker of Jane Lew, W.Va., was the judge for the four weight classes.

Kayla Hartung of Mercersburg exhibited the grand champion steer, and Willow Hurley of Greencastle showed the reserve champion steer.

In the heifer show, Kaleb Hurley of Greencastle exhibited the champion heifer, and Madison Hurley of Greencastle showed the reserve champion.

Katarina Fisher of Chambersburg was named the champion showman.

First place winners in the show were:


Novice, Willow Hurley.

Intermediate, Katarina Fisher.

Senior, Kaleb Hurley.


Lightweight, Willow Hurley.

Mediumweight, Blake Nisewander.

Light heavyweight, Kayla Hartong.

Medium heavyweight, Kaleb Hurley.
