UNIONVILLE, Pa. - Maryland horse Foyle and Kieran Norris won the $35,000 Pennsylvania Hunt Cup to clinch the 2013 timber championship.

On a chilly but sunny afternoon in Unionville's iconic horse country, Merriefield Farm's Foyle and Norris held off a challenge by Arcadia Park's Delta Park and Darren Nagle in home stretch as many of the other challengers in the 12-horse field fell.

With loose horses galloping all over the course, Foyle, trained by Bruce Fenwick of Maryland, took the lead early in the 4-mile feature to bring the National Steeplechase Association timber season to a close.
