When compared to last Thursday`s sale, slaughter steers sold steady to
2.00 higher on good demand. Slaughter heifers sold 1.00-3.00 higher on a
very light test. Holsteins sold steady to 1.00 lower on a very light test.
Buyer activity was moderate for Thursday`s sale. Slaughter cows sold
1.00-2.00 lower with moderate demand. Cattle supplies included 217 slaughter
steers; 38 heifers; 248 cows; 44 bulls; and 9 feeder cattle. All prices
per cwt.
Slaughter Steers: High Choice and Prime 3-4 1350-1750 lbs 125.00-129.00.
Choice 2-3 1175-1600 lbs 119.00-124.50. Select 1-3 1075-1470 lbs 115.00-
118.50.

Return to Farm Holstein Calves: When compared to last week`s sale,
Holstein bull calves sold mostly 10.00-20.00 higher on moderate demand.
Heifers sold 5.00-10.00 higher compared on a very light test last.
Demand was moderate. Ag Market News LLC under the USDA-QSA-LMAR program
graded 418 head for this Thursday's graded sale. One hundred percent supply
Holstein calves unless otherwise noted. All prices per cwt.
Graded Bull Calves: Number 1 114-128 lbs 100.00-103.00; 94-112 lbs
117.00-124.00; 86-92 lbs 77.00-90.00. Number 2 106-118 lbs 102.00-106.00;
88-104 lbs 112.00-119.00; 80-86 lbs 86.00. Number 3 100-130 lbs 92.00-
97.00; 80-98 lbs 50.00; 72-78 lbs 25.00. Utility 80-110 lbs 30.00-35.00;
