When compared to last Thursday`s sale, slaughter steers sold steady on
moderate demand. Slaughter heifers sold 2.00-3.00 lower on a very light
test. Holsteins sold 2.00-3.00 lower on a light test. Buyer activity was
moderate for Thursday`s sale. Slaughter cows sold 3.00-4.00 lower with
moderate demand. Cattle supplies included 329 slaughter steers; 86
heifers; 533 cows; 39 bulls; and 51 feeder cattle. All prices per cwt.
Slaughter Steers: High Choice and Prime 3-4 1200-1575 lbs 125.00-128.50.
Choice 2-3 1270-1600 lbs 119.00-124.50. Select 1-3 1180-1600 lbs 114.00-
118.50.
Slaughter Holsteins: High Choice and Prime 2-4 Not tested. Choice 2-3

Return to Farm Holstein Calves: When compared to last week`s sale,
Holstein bull calves sold mostly 5.00-10.00 lower on good demand.
Heifers sold mostly steady on good demand. Ag Market News LLC under
the USDA-QSA-LMAR program graded 494 head for this Thursday's graded
sale. One hundred percent supply Holstein calves unless otherwise noted.
