BLACKVILLE, S.C. (AP) — Scientists from Clemson University are to deliver an update on their research into peanut farming.

The school says Scott Monfort, Jay Chapin and James Thomas are making a presentation Thursday at the S.C. Peanut Board's 2013 Peanut Growers Meeting in Santee.

Organizers say S.C. Peanut Board chairman Richard Rentz is scheduled to give opening remarks at the daylong program. Events include an update from the National Peanut Board and presentations on disease management, irrigation scheduling and variety trials.
