DALLAS (AP) — The site of the fall State Fair of Texas in Dallas will be getting more use with Summer Adventures in Fair Park.
The $30 million attraction opens Saturday with rides, amusement games and museums that are permanently located at the 277-acre park.
The new theme park is presented by the State Fair of Texas, which runs Sept. 27 through Oct. 20, as a way to have additional offseason uses for Fair Park.
Summer Adventures in Fair Park will be open weekends through June 2. Daily operations begin June 7 and run through the summer. Admission prices are $29.95 for adults and $24.95 for children and seniors. Children age 2 and younger are free.
Dallas Area Rapid Transit serves Fair Park via bus and rail line routes.
