MECHANICSBURG, Pa. — Dairy and specialty crop farmers can obtain scholarships this fall for AgBiz Masters, the learning series for young and beginning farmers that will be held November through March.

Two scholarships that are available for that class include:

The Center for Dairy Excellence will offer 31 $25 reimbursement scholarships to Pennsylvania dairy producers participating in AgBiz Masters. Scholarships will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis and are available to year one and year two participants.

Specialty crop producers (growers of fruit, vegetables, nursery crops, etc.) enrolling in year one of AgBiz Masters in 2012 are eligible for a full $125 scholarship reimbursement upon successful completion of the program. This is made possible through funding from the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture’s PAgrows program and the USDA Specialty Crop Block Grant.

Scholarship opportunities will be identified as registrations are received, and both scholarships will be paid as reimbursements upon successful completion of the program in March.

To enroll, visit by Oct. 31. For more information, contact Raechel Sattazahn at rsattazahn<\@> or 800-349-3568, ext. 6016.
