Course Planned on Organic Vegetable Production

Penn State Extension will present a course titled Introduction to Organic Vegetable Production on Tuesdays Aug. 20-Sept. 10.

On-farm sessions will meet 3:30-7 p.m. at the Pennypack Farm Education Center, 685 Mann Road, Horsham, Pa., or The Seed Farm, 5854 Vera Cruz Road, Emmaus, Pa. Classroom sessions will meet 5:30-8:30 p.m. at the Lehigh Ag Center, 4184 Dorney Park Road, Room 108, Allentown, Pa.

Upcoming sessions include:

Aug. 20 — Insect scouting, ID and management, Pennypack Farm.

Aug. 27 — Insect biology and management, Lehigh County Ag Center.

Sept. 3 — Plant disease ecology and management, Lehigh County Ag Center.

Sept. 10 — Plant disease scouting, ID and management, The Seed Farm.

To pre-register go to farming and download the registration form. Walk-ins welcome. $15 per session or $5 per session for apprentices.
