CAMP HILL, Pa. — Pennsylvania Farm Bureau will sponsor a variety of activities, including children-friendly activities, in its newly designed exhibit area at the 97th annual Pennsylvania Farm Show, Jan. 5-12 at the Farm Show Complex in Harrisburg.
“The Farm Show provides farmers a perfect venue to meet people from large cities, rural communities and the suburbs to discuss farm practices and food production,” said Carl T. Shaffer, its president. “Pennsylvania farmers are committed to reaching out to the public to better inform them about how farmers care for their animals, the environment and the food they produce.”
Farm Bureau will offer information on many of its programs and services, along with several interactive activities. For example, the Pennsylvania Friends of Agriculture Foundation will present “Chicken Chat” to encourage children to learn more about chicken production. Children who participate in will be given a free chicken hat (while supplies last) and a fun activity page to take home.
Background information on current issues impacting Pennsylvania agriculture will be available, along with Farm Bureau representatives, in Exposition Hall near the main Food Court.
