LITITZ, Pa. — The 19th annual Cover Crop and Soil Health Field Day will begin at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 29, and continue 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 30, at Steve Groff’s Cedar Meadow Farm, Holtwood, Pa.
The latest cover crop research will be presented along with the market introductions of three new pieces of equipment engineered specifically for cover crop planting, including a robot that plants between rows of standing corn.
Research in cover crops has been ongoing for nearly 20 years at the farm, known today as the Cover Crop Solutions Research Farm. More than 500 research plots cover 100 acres.
Presenters will include Mike Plumer, Ray Weil, Steven Mirsky, Joel Myers, Sjoerd Duiker, Lara Bryant and David Dum. The roster, agenda and complete details are at CoverCropSolutions.com.
