Penn State Extension will hold an advanced course for farmers writing a food safety plan and for farmers who are considering or require a third party audit 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday, March 18, at the Carbon County Emergency Management Building, 1264 Emergency Lane, Nesquehoning, Pa.
It will be helpful but not necessary if attendees have taken the five-hour course titled Keeping Fresh Produce Safe Using Good Agricultural Practices. The new workshop will go over the basic concepts but is not a repeat of that course.
