Horse Pasture Walk Set for June 25

Penn State Extension will hold a pasture walk for horse owners at 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 25, at the farm of Bill and Diane Hatcher, 1234 Sweitzer Road, New Freedom, Pa.

Agronomy educator John Rowehl will guide participants through hands-on identification of pasture plant and weed species, evaluation of pasture conditions, and discussion of renovation strategies and other horse pasture management practices.

If weather is questionable that day, call the Extension office at 840-7408 by 4 p.m. to find out if it will be postponed.

There is no fee to attend, but those planning to participate are asked to pre-register with the York County Extension Office at 717-840-7408 or yorkext<\@>
