Manure Management Plan Writing Workshop Set for Feb. 26

MIDDLEBURG, Pa. — The Snyder County Conservation District will hold two manure management plan writing workshops on Tuesday, Feb. 26, at its office — 9 a.m.-noon and 6-9 p.m.

Farmers will leave the workshop will knowledge and information to complete a manure management plan workbook that meets current environmental regulations enforced by state Department of Environmental Protection.

These manure management plans are now required by any person who raised animals, or produces or receives animal manure. Individuals who raise just one steer, one goat, one sheep, etc, are required to have a plan.
