UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The 2012 Marcellus Summit, sponsored by Penn State Extension, will cover the latest trends, issues and concerns surrounding shale-gas development in Pennsylvania, according to organizers.
The conference, which will be held Oct. 10-12 at the Penn Stater Conference Center, will feature speakers and panels on such topics as shale gas resource estimates, studies on U.S. natural-gas exports, and international perspectives on shale-gas and oil development.
“We anticipate more than 400 people at the summit,” said event chairman Dave Messersmith, Extension educator specializing in shale-gas development.
