Md. Hereford Supreme at Jr. Beef Breeding Cattle Show

HARRISBURG, Pa. — Hereford heifer SHF Coyotte Done, exhibited by Melissa Grimmel of Jarrettsville, Md., captured the supreme female championship title of the Oct. 6 Junior Beef Breeding Cattle Show at the 2013 Keystone International Livestock Exposition in Harrisburg.

The reserve female championship title went to Kelsey Delaplaine of Gettysburg, Pa., with her entry, KYLD Blackbird 2802.

EMM Sales & Service Inc. of Brownstown, Pa., sponsored the supreme champion awards for the seventh consecutive year. Grimmel was given the yearlong use of a cattle trailer, while Delaplaine earned a $1,000 cash prize.

The judges for the show were Alan Miller of Gridley, Ill.; Ryan Haefner of Sleepy Hollow, N.Y.; and Jeff Thompson of Loan Tree, Iowa.
