Hoober Feeds of Gordonville, Pa., one of the participants in a Jan. 17 bankruptcy auction in Philadelphia, was awarded Pennfield Corp.’s accounts for customers who were receiving feeds through its South Montrose, Pa., plant.
“We feel very fortunate to have been able to purchase the accounts receivable, customer lists and custom formulations for these valued producers,” said Ron Moore, one Hoober Feeds’ partner/owners and sales manager.
“We know they are in need of uninterrupted service and state-of-the-art feed formulations and feed delivery,” he said.
“Hoober Feeds fully understands the value in the relationships that are created between dairy producers and their suppliers, and we in no way want to jeopardize that during this transition period,” Moore said.
The company started handling the former South Montrose accounts on Monday.
