MIDDLEBURG, Pa. — The Snyder County Conservation District, along with AgChoice Farm Credit, Mifflinburg Bank & Trust, Valley Ag & Turf, TeamAg, KeystoneGroup Agricultural Seeds and Susquehanna Valley Veterinary, will host a farmer’s winter meeting 9 a.m.-3:15 p.m. Friday, Feb. 15, at Christ Community United Methodist Church, 3939 Park Road near Selinsgrove.
Pesticide, manure hauler/broker and nutrient management credits are scheduled to be given from the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture. Topics include “What Must I Do to Make DEP Happy?,” soil health and making soil a partner on your farm, pesticide handling safety and databases, emerging farm pest problems, crop and farm insurance, agricultural energy and USDA programs.
