SHELL EGGS:	Daily California Eggs


Prices are steady. The undertone is barely steady.	Retail demand is light
to fairly good with food service movement moderate. Distributive demand is
light as buyers anticipate lower trending prices on spot loads of shell
eggs. Supplies are light to moderate. Market activity is slow.


Shell egg marketer's benchmark price for negotiated egg sales of
USDA Grade AA and Grade AA in cartons, cents per dozen.	This
price does not reflect discounts or other contract terms.
