Grain higher, livestock lower

CHICAGO (AP) — Grain futures were higher Wednesday in early trading on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for September delivery was off 1.6 cents to $5.8340 a bushel; September corn was 4 cents higher at $4.2720 a bushel; December oats were unchanged at $2.6050 a bushel; while November soybeans gained 9.40 cents at 9.9520 cents a bushel.

Beef was lower and pork mostly lower on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

August live cattle was .38 cent lower at $1.5070 a pound; August feeder cattle was .70 cent lower at $2.1643 a pound; August lean hogs gained .25 cent to $.7660 a pound.
