CASSVILLE, Mo. (AP) — A southwest Missouri man suspected of cattle and farm equipment thefts in several counties has been sentenced to 30 year in prison for thefts in Barry County.

Prosecutors say 65-year-old Howard Perryman of Monett and Richard Hert stole a tractor and other farm equipment in Barry County in 2010. Hert was sentenced in 2012 to seven-year concurrent prison sentences for four crimes and is now on five years of probation.

KYTV-TV reports (http://bit.ly/1pflnIB ) that Perryman was sentenced to seven years in prison in 1998 for receiving stolen property in Greene County. He was also charged in 2013 in Greene County with stealing cattle and farm equipment, and was the focus of an investigation by the Missouri Highway Patrol and several sheriffs' departments that recovered at least $100,000 in stolen property.
