GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (AP) — Authorities say activity was light during two weekends of special enforcement for the Nebraska State Fair.
The Nebraska State Patrol says it conducted high visibility patrols in Grand Island during the evening and early morning hours of the last two weekends in August.
Troopers made fewer than 50 contacts with motorists. Four open container citations were issued to four juveniles.
Officials attribute the light activity to the public's voluntary compliance with motor vehicle laws.
