Shreveport Farmers market opens fall season

SHREVEPORT, La. (AP) — The Shreveport Farmers' Market has kicked off its four-week fall season at the city's Festival Plaza in the downtown area.

Market manager Noma Fowler-Sandlin told The Times (http://bit.ly/QMDIgd ) that this year's market features new meat, craft and produce vendors.

The market, which draws vendors from east Texas and northwestern Louisiana, will be open every Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon through Nov. 17.
