DOSWELL, Va. (AP) — Wine is returning to the State Fair of Virginia.
The Virginia Farm Bureau Federation says state wineries have been invited to submit wines for judging at the 2014 State Fair's commercial wine competition.
The competition was last held in 2011. It previously drew more than 250 entries from wineries throughout Virginia.
Judging will take place in June and the winning wines will be on display during the 2014 State Fair that runs from Sept. 26 through Oct. 5 at The Meadow Event Park in Caroline County.
Officials say all proceeds from the competition will benefit the fair's scholarship program.
