HARRISBURG, Pa. — The Center for Dairy Excellence and the S. Dale High Center for Family Business will host a workshop on Dairy Farm Family Transition Planning on Tuesday, Nov. 20, at the Central Penn Conference Center in Summerdale, Pa., from 8:30 a.m.-3:15 p.m.
During the workshop, Mike McGrann, executive director of the S. Dale High Center for Family Business at Elizabethtown College, will address issues of empowerment, the difference between fair versus equal, and differing visions for the family business. The day includes time for participants to work with their succession planning facilitator to address those issues most critical to their individual situation and identify the core values most important to their business.
A panel discussion will also be part of the workshop, addressing legal, financial and accounting issues related to succession planning.
