Hannah Miller Leads Schuylkill County’s Dairy Royalty

TAMAQUA, Pa. — Hannah Miller, the 19-year-old daughter of Russel and Christine Miller, Tamaqua, Pa., was crowned the new 2014-2015 Schuylkill County dairy princess on Sunday, May 4. Miller was presented with her title in front of 60 people at St. Peter’s Union Church in Tamaqua, Pa.

Along with Miller, there are three alternate dairy princesses: Audrie Wolfe, 20, daughter of Mark and Amy Wolfe, Pine Grove, Pa.; Sarah Palerino, 16, daughter of Jeffrey and Kelly Palerino, Schuylkill Haven, Pa.; and Jill Heffner, 16, daughter of Kent and Jodie Heffner, Pine Grove.

Junior representatives were also chosen to assist Miller with promotions and have the potential to become the dairy princess in the future. Dairy ambassadors include Allison Miller, 15, daughter of Allen and Joan Miller, Andreas, Pa.; Kristen Schrader, 17, daughter of Barry and Bonnie Schrader, New Ringgold, Pa.; and Grace Daubert, 15, daughter of Allen and Ann Daubert, Pine Grove.

The four dairy maids include Kayla Beige, 11, daughter of Ned and Susan Biege; and Eva, 12, Rachel, 10, and Samantha Scheitrum, 9; daughters of William and Christine Scheitrum, New Ringgold.

The li’l dairy miss is Emma Scheitrum, 7, daughter of William and Christine Scheitrum, New Ringgold.

When asked about what she looks forward to during her reign, Hannah Miller replied: “I look forward to teaching and informing the public about the particular health benefits of milk and other dairy products.”
